The quiet craft that keeps jewelry alive.
Refining, recasting, recutting, resizing, enameling and hand engraving. None of it is glamorous. All of it is what turns a lovely idea into something that lasts.
Metal
Refining, and gold that finds a second life
Most of us have a small drawer of gold that will never be worn again — broken chains, a single earring, a setting whose stone went elsewhere years ago. It has real value, and it can go straight into something you will love.
Our direct-to-refinery access means that value comes back substantially higher than a typical trade-in, because there is one less hand taking a share along the way. Weights are documented before anything is processed, and nothing sentimental is ever refined without your explicit blessing.
For anyone especially attached to where a piece came from, we also offer a special casting refining process that retains the original gold or platinum inside the new design. The metal itself carries through — which for many people matters more than the stone.
Stones & hands
Repairs, restoration and lapidary
Complex repairs
Recasting, retipping, resizing and structural restoration of pieces other benches have turned away.
Lapidary
Recutting and repolishing chipped or abraded stones, with weight loss assessed honestly before anything is committed to.
Hand engraving & enameling
Artisans who still do this by hand, for monograms, crests, dates and detail that a machine cannot quite manage.
Stone setting
Setters we have worked alongside for years, which is why pieces come back tight, even, and beautiful under magnification.
