Questions · Custom process, timing & cost
Everything you might be wondering.
And if something isn’t answered here, please just ask — there are no silly questions when it comes to a piece you’ll wear for the rest of your life.
Common questions
How long does custom jewelry take, and what is the design process?
The consultation appointment is no charge. When you’re ready to see designs, a $500 deposit goes toward the artist’s CAD work and is applied directly to your balance. Once designs are reviewed and approved, a second payment covers 50% of the overall cost, and the final payment is due at pickup. The typical range is three to four weeks from approval, depending on complexity, stone sourcing and revisions. Tighter deadlines can often be accommodated — just let us know.
Can I see the design before it is made?
Always. Every design is reviewed together for final approval before casting, and waxes or prototypes are available on request. There are no additional fees for design changes while the piece is still in design. Once casting has begun, any further changes are handled case by case, with the priority always being your happiness and the quality of the finished piece.
Do I need an appointment for a consultation?
Yes. Appointments let us give you undivided attention and protect your privacy. We’re available seven days a week from 7am to 7pm and can often accommodate short notice. Not in Florida? No problem — we work with clients virtually and ship anywhere in the United States.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Inspiration images, any existing jewelry or stones you’d like to repurpose, a budget range, and any timeline you’re working toward. And if you don’t have anything in mind yet, leave it to us to bring your ideas to life.
How much does custom jewelry cost?
It varies by metal, stones, complexity and labor. We use higher quality materials and state-of-the-art technology while keeping the cost lower than most comparable pieces available from a showcase. Price is determined by metal, weight, stone quantity and quality, labor, and any special techniques the piece requires. We work with all price ranges.
Can I use my own diamonds, gemstones or heirloom jewelry?
Yes — repurposing and resetting older pieces is something we specialize in. Our direct-to-refinery access returns substantially higher value toward your project. We also offer a special casting refining process that retains the original gold or platinum within the new piece, for anyone especially sentimental about where it came from.
Do you offer lab-grown diamonds?
Yes. We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, and we’ll talk through the real differences so you can choose what feels right for you.
Can you create men’s wedding bands or specialized designs?
We offer a full line of custom men’s rings with beautiful design options. Metals include gold, platinum, tantalum and meteorite, among others, alongside stones, inlays, specialty engraving and a range of finishes — all to create something that belongs to him alone.
Do you offer repairs, resizing and complex work?
Yes. Our facility handles complex repairs, and we can recast, recut and restore almost anything. We also work with a talented team of artisans for enameling, hand engraving, stone setting and more.
Is there a warranty on custom pieces?
All custom pieces carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This excludes normal maintenance, excessive wear and tear, accidental damage, theft, or service by an outside jeweler. Most jewelry insurance plans cover repairs alongside theft and loss, which keeps the process simple and hassle free.
