A ring built to a brief, not chosen from a tray.

Custom engagement rings, wedding bands and men's bands designed and made for one person. You approve the stone, the CAD and a physical model before anything is cast.

What's involved

From an idea to something she wears every day

A custom ring is not a luxury version of buying a ring. It's a different process with a different failure mode. Buying retail, the risk is overpaying for a stone. Going custom, the risk is a beautiful design that's unwearable — a setting that snags, a profile that won't sit flush against a band, prongs that will wear through in five years on an active hand.

So I start with the wearer, not the picture. What does she do with her hands all day. Does she wear rings now, and what has happened to them. Does the band need to pair with something later. Is this going to be resized, passed down, worn in salt water. Those answers constrain the design before we discuss a single stone.

Then the brief goes to market. I come back with a handful of centre-stone options with certificates, laid side by side, and I tell you where the grading is generous and where two stones with identical paper look nothing alike in person. That conversation is the part you're actually paying for.

Specialties

Where I do my best work

01 · Solitaires

Clean, classic, built to last

Restrained settings where the proportion has to be exactly right, because there is nothing else to look at. Comfort and prong security over drama.

02 · Men's bands

Metal chosen for the life it lives

Brushed, hammered, inlaid, mixed metal. The specification that matters most is what the wearer does for a living, and almost nobody asks.

03 · Coloured centres

Sapphire, fancy colour, unusual cuts

Colour is harder than white because there is no universal grading scale. It has to be seen, compared, and judged — which is exactly what I do.

04 · Matched sets

Bands that actually sit flush

Engagement ring and contoured wedding band designed together so there's no gap and no rubbing. Retrofitting this later is expensive and rarely perfect.

Questions

How long does a custom engagement ring take?
Six to ten weeks is typical from approved design to finished ring, plus sourcing time for the centre stone. Rush timelines are possible but they narrow the stone options, which usually costs more than waiting.
How much of the budget goes to the stone?
Usually 60 to 80 percent. That ratio is the single most useful thing to understand before you start, because it tells you how much design you can actually afford.
Can you match a ring she has already seen and liked?
Yes, and it's a common starting point. Bring the screenshot. I'll tell you what it would cost to build properly and where the original is cutting corners.
Do you do men's bands as well?
It's a specialty. Most of the market treats men's bands as an afterthought in five widths. Metal choice matters enormously for someone who works with their hands.
